GREGOR JAKUBOWSKI's art doesn't lack what is so liked by the connaisseurs
the soft, painterly brushwork, shimerring light, transfused forms and blended
contrasts, rich and luminous colour, vibrant shadows and movement.
In other
words - it has all that makes a painting an object of aestethic value.
The characteristic, aggressive line becomes an expressive ornament in the style
of Art Nouveau, which brings to mind flickering flames or a quivering, intricate,
lace-like structure
The heroes of particular compositions are unsettingly
& beautiful, elegant, and quiet
Even though the world of the luminous webs
and intricate ornament apparently threatens them, engulfs & blurrs the outline
of their bodies, leadin to decomposition & obliteration.
Jakubowski speaks with caressing whisper His works combine specific,
mysterious aura with a mood of poetic contemplation, though the lyricism is
not devoid of apocaliptic accent, but individual compositions loose nothing

- L'Exposition a Saumur était preparee par l'artiste depuis 2010, initialement a deux,
sous le titre : "PEINTURE CONTEMPORAINE et la CAVALERIE de NAPOLEON".
Gregor JAKUBOWSKI y prevoyait alors la mise en exergue de la presence polonaise dans la Grande Armée : chevaux-legers, lanciers polonais ...
Le haut patronage de SE l'Ambassadeur de Pologne a Paris lui en etait accorde, puis reconduit.
Actuellement, les 40 oeuvres du peintre sont soigneusement integrees dans l'exposition permanente du Musée de la Cavalerie.
Ses peintures retracent les racines chevaleresques de la cavalerie,
présentent des cuirassiers ou des dragons en charge, en pleine mouvement,
montrent ses chevaux en liberte, en clair-obscur pictorialiste,
ainsi que ses compositions plus "contemporaines" :
ou les equides et les cavaliers ne deviennent que des composantes d'un jeux de lignes, et des masses de couleurs dynamiques.

Grzegorz JAKUBOWSKI planowal wtedy wskazanie polskiej obecnosci w Wielkiej Armii : naszych szwolezerow, czy tez ulanow.
Oficjalny patronat de J.E. Ambasadora RP w Paryzu zostal mu wtedy przyznany, nastepnie przedluzony.
Obecnie, zespol 40 prac malarza jest starannie zintegrowany ze stala ekspozycja Muzeum Kawalerii.
Jego obrazy ilustruja rycerskie korzenie kawalerii,
przedstawiaja kirasjerow, czy szarzujacych dragonow w pelnym ruchu,
ukazuja konie na wolnosci, w nastrojowych swiatlocieniach,
a takze kompozycje bardziej "wspolczesne" :
– w ktorych konie i jezdzcy staja sie jednym z elementow gry linii, oraz plam dynamicznych kolorow.

Kochani,
to wiadomosc dla Was obojga ktora wytlumaczy moje milczenie.
Wszystko w moim zyciu poszlo na plan dalszy, 2 tygodnie po powrocie z Waszgo cudownego Paryza, zostalam zdiagnozowana ( ... )
Oszczedze Wam opisow, to bardzo powazna sprawa, stadium jakie mam nie jest najgorsze, ma pewne "plusy",
kazdy moj oddech, bit energii jakiejkolwiek, wlaczony jest w trudna walke z problemem.
Nie poddaje sie ani na sekunde, wroce do normalnej aktywnosci tylko nie wiem kiedy (...).
To co bardzo potrzebuje od Was, od wszystkich, calego swiata, ludzi, ktorzy mnie znaja lub nie, to -- dobre mysli i modlitwa,
modlitwa - nie istotne do jakiego Boga, nie wazne, czy nazywamy to mysla, medytacja, czy modlitwa, dobre mysli w intencji wyzdrowienia
- jedno jest WAZNE - ja wiem i wierze gleboko, ze to pomaga w leczeniu.
Napiszcie czasem jak sie miewa sztuka w Paryzu, ja nie pracuje, ale czytam e-maile, i nie chce byc zupelnie tabula rasa
jak wroce do normalnej aktywnosci, poza tym co u Was,
jak publikacje i obrazy - co jest WAZNE !!!!
